Parents & Families

Dear Parents,

Greetings from Manhattanville College as we begin the spring term. Despite the cold weather, spirits are high as we sprint through what will undoubtedly be a busy semester.

We have welcomed a few new members to our community, among them, Provost Gail Simmons.  As the chief academic officer of the College, Dr. Simmons oversees all aspects of teaching and learning and works with faculty and staff to ensure and strengthen our commitment to intimate and integrated learning.  I hope you will have an opportunity to meet her when you are on campus this semester.

Highlights of the spring term will include productions of Brigadoon in the Little Theatre and Shakespeare’s A Winter’s Tale in the Castle, hockey and basketball games, International Day, and the much-anticipated tradition of Quad Jam.  I hope you will join us at some of these events as we celebrate our students’ accomplishments.

I hope you will also mark your calendars for April 7th at 10 am in the O’Byrne chapel when I will be formally inaugurated as Manhattanville’s eleventh President.  Our celebration of community during that week will include lectures, productions, exhibits, and concerts.  I look forward to seeing you soon.

Molly Easo Smith, President
